Every price on tcggrail.com is a reference figure, not a valuation and not an offer. This page sets out the limits of what our data can tell you.

Prices are a reference, not a valuation

The figures we publish are compiled from public marketplace listing and price data. They describe roughly what a card has been changing hands for, in United States dollars, on the marketplace we drew them from.

They are not an appraisal, not an insurance value and not a guaranteed sale price. What you actually pay or receive depends on the card's condition, its exact printing, whether it is graded, the marketplace you use, its fees, and the day you trade. Any of those can move the real number well away from ours.

Figures age quickly

Card prices can move sharply on a reprint, a tournament result or a piece of news. We stamp every price with the date it was collected precisely so that you can judge how stale it may be.

Before you commit money, check the current price on the marketplace you intend to use. Treat our history charts as background, not as a forecast — past movement does not predict future movement.

Where our responsibility ends

Source errors

We reproduce what our sources publish. If a source reports a wrong price, misses a printing or lags behind the market, that error can reach our pages, and we are not liable for it.

Condition and grading

We cannot see your card. Centring, edges, surface and corners change value enormously, and we publish no opinion on the condition or grade of any individual card.

What we do not hold

We do not publish grading population reports, sealed product prices, pack pull rates or completed auction results, because we do not have reliable free data for them. We would rather omit a figure than invent one.

Your decisions

Every purchase, sale, trade, grading submission and investment decision you make on the basis of this site is yours, and so is the result.

Service interruptions

The site may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and we are not liable for any loss arising from that.

Outbound and affiliate links

We link to marketplaces and reference sites so that you can check a figure at its source. We do not control those sites and take no responsibility for their content, their prices or their conduct.

Some outbound links may be affiliate links, which means TCG Grail may earn a commission if you buy after following one. This never costs you more, and it never changes the prices, rankings or wording on our pages.

No affiliation with the rights holders

TCG Grail is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK inc., any grading company or any card marketplace.

Pokémon and all related names, set names and artwork are trademarks of their respective owners, used here to identify the cards being described.
